~ Pogostemon Cablin ~

A member of the mint family, this bushy, evergreen, aromatic herb is native to the Asian tropics. It has tiny pinkish-purple flowers, but it's the furry leaves that contain the unique, characteristic scent of patchouli. The square stem reaches up to one meter high.


Uses:
Beneficial against cellulite and water retention. It is used in deodorant, personal fragrance, incense and as an insect repellent. Room diffusion can uplift emotions and create an aphrodisiac effect.

Directions:
Use in oil burner: add a few drops to water. Mix with water for use as hydrosol.

Yellow to golden brown in color, the oil is thick and emanates an intense, earthy, spicy, musky, sweet fragrance. In perfumery, it's a base note.
